Study on effects of Azotobacter and compost on sweet corn production was carried out in experimental field of Kamphaengsaen soil series. The experiment was designed as 2*5 factorial in RCB with 4 replications. The factors were methods of Azotobacter inoculation (compost inoculation and seed inoculation) and quantities of compost (0, 250, 500, 1,000 and 2,000 kg./rai). The results revealed that the methods of Azotobacter inoculation and quantities of compost had positive effects to sweet corn growth. Seed inoculation with Azotobacter had higher positive effect. Stem dry matter, fresh yield, nitrogen concentration in sweet corn and population of Azotobacter in rhizophere of sweet corn which inoculated with Azotobacter by seed inoculation method were higher than the another one. The application of 1,000-2,000 kg./rai of compost was appropriated level which enhanced plant growth as applied with Azotobacter inoculum.
