By creation of a digital soil maps a number of opportunities of practical use of GIS technologies is opened. Additional analytical opportunities of use of the information obtained from soil maps are revealed (simplification and automation of calculations of the areas, interpolation, the modular analysis and visualization of interrelations, simplification of creation of cartographical production), the algorithm of creation of digital soil maps is described
