[Development of world food system and food safety]

Regularities and tendencies of formation and operation of world food system, their influence on national food safety based on agricultural production self-sufficiency and population paying capacity have been investigated. Priority variant of provision of state food independence such as optimization of the following directions has been presented: preservation and expansion of foods domestic production, provision of stable import, creation of appropriate food reserves and development of export potential. Import substitutions of agricultural raw materials and finished food products as well as export orientation of several branches have been stated as the most of important conditions of republic food safety achievement. The following directions of agricultural production import substitutions providing national food independence in the conditions of international integration development have been proved: increasing of population real incomings and decrease of their differentiation as well as protection of domestic market against competitive pressure of foreign producers
