Koltun, N.E.(Belarus Inst. of Plant Protection, Priluki (Belarus))
The results of the phytosanitary status estimation of intensive apple orchards are given. It is established that an apple-plantain aphid (Dysaphis plantaginea Pass.) is the most dangerous among 4 species of aphids that inhabit intensive orchards. It is determined that rapacious insects (larvae and imagoes of coccinelids, larvae of sirphid fly, rapacious gall midges aphydimisma) does not play the important role in number reduction of the pest that develop in intensive orchards at the first part of summer. The decrease of the rate of standard production reaches 10-15% at apple-plantain aphid number up to two colonies per rosette, in years of wide spread at the pest number 10 colonies per rosette the rate reach 35-70%. It is underlined that the pest one colony per rosette feeding results in the decrease of the standard production rate by 3,4%
