Research results of the efficiency of magnesium and sulfur-containing fertilizers in the model field experiment with four different levels of exchangeable magnesium content in the sod-podzolic light loamy soil were presented. High recoupment of sulfur-containing and magnesium fertilizers by means of increasing of seed yield response and oil yield in the range of exchangeable magnesium (MgO) content from 128 up to 250 mg/kg of soil was found. The further increase of magnesium content up to 337 mg/kg was excessive and was followed by the significant reduction of rape seed yield. Efficiency of application of magnesium and sulfur-containing fertilizers was higher in case of low content of exchangeable magnesium in soil and lowered in accordance with magnesium stocks increase in the plough-layer. Application of magnesium sulfate and sulfur on the background of complete mineral fertilizer containing 128, 143 and 250 mg/kg of exchangeable magnesium provided the highest net profit (82,3-101,1 USD/hectare) in case of 79-93 % profitability level
