[Analysis of the competition intensity in the dairy production branch by the example of Gomel region enterprises]

The dairy products market is remarkable for its high competitive activity which makes it possible to realize its actual valuation and analysis as well as the determination of the degree of its influence on the level of the competitive ability of dairy production enterprises. Results of the realized analysis of the competition intensity on dairy enterprises of Gomel region of Belarus are stated. Research results proved the importance of the intensity of competitive counteraction from the side of both business competitors and users serving as the factors of the resulting level of competitiveness of investigated enterprises. In order to decrease the market competition in the short-term period for the investigated enterprises it is recommended to change their competitive strategy for the direction towards the intensification of the competition methods such as the reduction of production prices regarding to quality, acquisition and application of market authority regarding to consumers. In the long-term period the competitive strategy of the investigated enterprises should be directed towards the decrease of intraregional structure (since the enterprises of other regions of Belarus are the basic competitors) by means of production differentiation, division of commodity markets, enterprises enlargement for the decrease of the number of competitors working in the same industry branch and the consolidation of financial resources
