Alfalfa and clover regularly are colonized by aphids although only in some years they are real pests of the crops. The most important species are Acyrthosiphon pisum, Aphis craccivora, Therioaphis trifoli and Nearctaphis bakeri. The last one is present only on clover. In Europe, all of them are monoecious on Fabaceae species. They are vectors of many viruses. In our region, 10 parasitoids (fam. Aphidiidae) are regulating their abundance.
