Here we studied the effects of two PCB congeners: planer PCB 126 (0.1 nmol/testis and 1 nmol/testis) and di-ortho PCB 153 (10 nmol/testis and 100 nmol/testis) and one environmental PCB mixture named Pyralene (25 microgram/testis and 125 microgram/testis). We investigated three enzyme systems (steroidogenic, antioxidant and CYP-metabolizing system) in rat testis after systemic (ip and po) and local (it) application of different PCBs.
