Entomofauna of the Gruza [water] reservoir [Serbia (Serbia and Montenegro)]

The first part of this paper is about Apterygota (Protura and Diplura), and some Pterygota - Orthopteroidea and Coleoptera (family Pselaphidae). It contains data of research projects before and at the beginning of the Gruza water reservoir formatting (during the period 1980-1985). The faunistic data are represented. Checklists of wingless insects are supplemented with potentially present species, according to the data from the new studies (1999 and 2003) on the adjacent localities. One segment of text is about subfam. Cholevinae (Coleoptera, Leiodidae). The second part represents actual researches of beetles from superfamily Curculionoidea (weevils) on the Gruza water reservoir banks. The list of registered species and the number of founded specimens are given. Analysis of aquatic and semi-aquatic weevils is made. The connection between eutrophication of the lake water, the presence of vascular plants and on dependent weevils, is presented.
