Productive characteristics of some domestic cultivars of alfalfa

The productive characteristics of some domestic cultivars of alfalfa in the agroecological conditions of Nis, Serbia (Serbia and Montenegro) were investigated. For the investigations were used seven domestic cultivars: NS Banat ZMS II, NS-Slavija, NS Novosadjanka H-11, NS Tisa, K-23, K-28 and Zajecarska 83. According to the results obtained the greatest yield of green forage (44.36 t/ha) and dry matter (hay) (10.65 t/ha) were obtained with cultivar NS-Slavija. The lowest yield of green forage (41.68 and 41.87 t/ha) and dry matter (10.13 and 9.83 t/ha) were obtained with cultivars K-28 and NS Tisa.
