The investigation deals with the comparison of two modified Penman methods for estimating ETo using climatic data from Rimski Sancevi, South Backa region in the Vojvodina Province, Serbia (Serbia and Montenegro). The reference crop evapotranspiration was calculated by the appropriate computer program CRIWAR 2.0 (A simulation model on Crop Irrigation Water Requiremets). Calculation of the reference crop evapotranspiration, ETo by two alternative methods: the FAO Modified Penman Method and the Penman-Monteith Method is part of this simulation program. Estimates of ETo determined by these methods were compared to the Pan Evapotraspiration method as a standard for evaluating the reliability of each procedure.
