Research of polycyclic aromatic carbohydrogens in milk and quarg by using HPLC

The presence of PAHs in commercial milk and quarg by HPLC on reverse phase using UV detection has been researched. Analysis examined 16 PAHs from US EPA List and the EU directions, their detection limits and limits of quantification. Samples for analysis were prepared by liquid-liquid extraction after saponification with sodium hydroxide. Extractants were n-hexan and cyclohexan. Extraction method with cyclohexan is suitable for PAHs analysis in milk, but not in quarg because of low test return of substance. Milk sample examined does not contain PAHs.
