The northern rim of Bukulja - Vencac crystalline, in the domain of the Arandjelovac basin and below Neogene deposits, contains significant reserves of sparkling carbonate waters. From the aspect of hydrogeological potentiality, horizons of marbles and marmorized limestones are particularly important. During the investigations, particular attention was paid to the reconstruction of position of water-bearing marble horizons below the Neogene cover. It was determined that they are within a synformal structure located north from the Bukulja - Vencac antiform. Such framework is a result of Upper Oligocene extensional unroofing, intrusion of a granitoide and exposure of the crystalline made of metamorphosed Upper Cretaceous deposits (metamorphic core complex).
