Mineral waters of karst areas in Serbia are related to calcareous, i.e. calcareous-dolomitic rocks and marbles. According to their physical and chemical characteristics, they are quite similar, most often mineral waters with complex hydrogeological conditions of their occurrence, significant so-far known reserves and possibilities of multipurpose exploitation. The so-far registered occurrences and reservoirs of mineral water in karst areas of Serbia are sufficient for getting an impression on their distribution, characteristics and possibilities of discovering new occurrences.
