Serbia is know as a country of many natural springs and spas. There are records for three hundred natural springs of medicinal water and more than twenty watering places of mineral springs used for therepeutic purposes. Many of the medicinal springs have been used since Roman times. Mineral water is one of the most precious natural resources of Serbia. Spring waters have multiple therapeutic uses, recognized for curing or help healing almost any disease known to the mankind. Mineral water from karst springs varies in temperature and chemical composition. Almost all are thermal waters within the temperature range from 20 deg C to 50 deg C. In many spas, highly experiences medicinal specialists treat patients for many malfunctions and diseases using mineral water for drinking in prescribed doses, bathing, diet, inhalation, irrigation, etc.
