The results of research of the influence of size of estate on purchasing costs and utilization costs were presented in this paper. The situation and influence of size of parcel, length of parcel and size of estate were given. If land of combines of 600,000 ha was divided into blocks of 60 ha costs for purchasing mechanization would be increased by 1.5 billion EUR, fixed costs of mechanization would be about 200 million EUR per year, manpower costs would be increased by 25 million EUR per year, and total production costs would be increased by 270 million EUR per year.
