The aim of the thesis was to establish aquatic and semiaquatic vegetation in Apatinski i Monostorski marshes and in the surrounding wetland. Until now, they have not been thoroughly researched from floristic, phytocoenologic and ecologic point of view. The analysis of floristic structure, ecology, characteristics of vegetation, syntaxonomic location and preservation has been done. The analysis of floristic elements, life forms and bioindicating values of plant species gave the insight into floristic - ecological differentiation of aquatic and semi - aquatic phytocenosis. Also, it showed the level of external influence on them. In the thesis are showed all syntaxonomic relations inside the aquatic and semi-aquatic vegetation. The whole description of syntaxonomic location enabled closer comprehension of plant communities and higher syntaxonomic units, as well as comparative evaluation related to European syntaxonomic division. In the thesis are showed detailed locations and data about plant species and communities. In the scope of researched vegetation 156 plant taxons were registered. Aquatic and swamp vegetation of the researched boglands from the phytocoenological point of view comprises 31 associations with its subassociations, in the scope of 7 classes, 9 orders, 14 new - laids, 8 sub-new laids and 14 communities - groups.
