Water has a predominant role to keep the structure and function of all sells and tissue in human organism. Iron, according to its function in our body, belongs to mineral substances and makes up a blood pigment-haemoglobin. Feri is a form typical for underground waters. Its concentration in the waters of Vojvodina Province (Serbia) exceeds 4.00 mg/l. Our atention is to point to the link between Fe presence in drinking waters of Wester Backa District. This we could confirm the fact that waters rich with Fe can prevent anaemia. Standard value of Fe in drinking water is 0.3 mg/l. Comparing anaemia rate caused by Fe deficiency to concentration in the waters on the territory of WB District, we can concluded tha anaemia and Fe in dringing water are in positive correlation.
