The effects of gamma rays and genotypes on sunflower organogenesis traits [Helianthus annuus L.]

إنجليزي. Seeds of two inbred lines (AS613 and AS616) and their hybrid were irradiated with seven gamma rays doses (5, 15, 25, 35, 45, 55 and 65 Grays). Organogenesis traits were studied for all irradiated seeds as well as non irradiated ones used as control. The experiment was designed as a randomized complete block with three replications. Each replication consisted of 16 Petri dishes with four explants per gamma rays dose and per genotype. The regeneration ability of genotypes and the effects of gamma rays on regeneration were scored by assessing the percentage of explants forming shoots (ES/100E), the average number of shoots per explant shooting (S/ES) and the average number of shoots per explant plated (S/E). Genetic variability was observed among the three genotypes for all studied traits. The effect of irradiation and the interaction between genotype and irradiation were also significant for all the studied traits. Heterosis, when the hybrid was compared with the mean of the two parents, was significant for the different gamma rays doses in all traits except for 15 and 55 Grays, which were not significant for the percentage of explants forming shoots (ES/100E). إيطالي. [I semi di due linee consanguinee (AS613 e AS616) e i loro ibridi sono stati irradiati con sette dosi di raggi gamma (5, 15, 25, 35, 45, 55 e 65 Gray). I caratteri relativi all´organogenesi sono stati studiati in tutti i semi irradiati e in quelli non irradiati utilizzati come controllo. L´esperimento è stato impostato come blocco randomizzato completo con tre replicazioni. Ogni replicazione consisteva di 16 piastre Petri con quattro espianti per dose di raggi gamma e per genotipo. La capacità di rigenerazione dei genotipi e gli effetti dei raggi gamma sulla rigenerazione sono stati determinati accertando la percentuale di espianti formanti germogli (ES/100E), il numero medio di germogli per espianto che produceva germogli (S/ES) e il numero medio di germogli per espianto messo in piastra (S/E). E´ stata osservata variabilità genetica per tutti i caratteri studiati. L´effetto dell´irradiazione e l´interazione fra genotipo e irradiazione risultavano pure significativi per tutti i caratteri studiati. L´eterosi, quando l´ibrido era confrontato con la media dei due parentali, è risultata significativa per le diverse dosi di raggi gamma in tutti i caratteri, eccetto che per le dosi di Gray 15 e 55, che non erano significative per la percentuale di espianti formanti germogli (ES/100E). L´irradiazione dei semi con 5 e 15 Gray probabilmente ha un effetto significativo, aumentando la capacità di rigenerazione della coltura di cotiledoni nel girasole.]
