The relationship between body fat composition and the daily habits was studied in 35 female students (19-26 years of age) who study nutrition management at Minami Kyushu University. The physical parameters, blood pressure, pulse rate, blood data were measured. Questionnaires about their daily life and their diet were also performed. The visceral fat was estimated by the abdominal ultrasonography. In the students who have normal BMI and slightly high percent fat (18.5=BMI25, 25=%fat30), the visceral fat was correlated with the blood glucose level (p0.05), indifference to the nutritional balance (p0.05), low intake of milk and dairy products (p0.05), low intake of vegetables which do not have green or yellow color (p0.05). The students who have normal BMI and high percent fat (18.5=BMI25, 30=%fat) had a tendency to eat more snacks, eat more meat and do less exercise in the present and also in the past. In the female students, it is found that the visceral fat accumulation was strongly related to their diet and exercise habits. If they can change their daily habits and diet, the accumulation of visceral fat will be inhibited and future diseases such as diabetes, hyperlipidemia and hypertension may be prevented.
