This study was conductd to understand the genetic diversity and relationships of Korean cultivated barley groups classified as landrace, improved and introduced varieties by microsatellite variation (SSRP, Simple Sequence Repeats Polymorphism). With the DNA polymorphism, molecular biological relationship and genetic distance within and between groups were analyzed. Total number of alleles was 35 in 8 microsatellite loci and HVM4 locus was the most variable by having 7 alleles.
