Terminal report on response of squash (Cucurbita maxima L.) to pollination
1997
Dangle, J.C.
The study was conducted to determine the best method of pollination on the fruit development of squash. It also aimed to compute the economics of squash production as affected by pollination. Results revealed that open pollinated plants (T3) produced the most number of developed fruit, number of undeveloped fruit, percentage developed fruit, number of marketable fruit, and heaviest marketable fruits. Introduction of honeybee colonies within the vicinity of the open pollinated plants resulted to higher return above variable cost.
