Low quality water can be an alternative source of water in shortage of fresh water condition. High concentration of biogenic compounds in low quality waters is a threat for plant and water quality. Therefore irrigation management with those waters shoud take into account a water balance as well as nutrient balance. Paper presents an algorithm of irrigation management. This algorytm connects water and nitrogen balance. Water balance includes: precipitation, irrigation, evapotranspiration and effluent. Nitrogen balance consists of nitrogen from precipitation or irrigation water and fertilization as inflow, leaching and plant uptake as outflow. The algorithm was checked for water and nitrogen part separetly. There were done 2 experiments in controlled conditions. Correlation coefficient for water balance is 0.82 and for nitrogen part 0.84. The algorithm can be use for different soils and plants, various water qualities
