Utilization of stems and leaves of vetiver for green fuel

Use of chopped stems and leaves of vetiver and jute fibre mixed with fermented water hyacinth at different ratios 8 formulations. The mixtures were pressed in cylindrical shape of green fuel from the machine model the Second Military Base with standard hole 1.3 cm and 1.7 cm hole. The experiment was conducted at Pakchong Research Station Pakchong Nakhonratchasima during June 1995-November 1995. The green fuel mixed from vetiver 3 parts with fermented water hyacinth 2 parts with 1.7 cm diameter hole gave high energy to boil 1 litre of water in 5 minutes and after that still had energy continously for 28 minutes. The green fuel of this formula had low smoke. If used 3 parts of vetiver and 1 part of fermented water hyacinth mixed together with 1.3 cm of diameter hole boiled 1 litre of water. It took about 6 minutes.
