Diversity of Anurans in Khaokitchakut, Chanthaburi province

Study on the diversity of anurans was carried out in Khaokitchakut forest area, Chanthaburi Province, during the period of April 2000 to March 2001. The total of 29 species, 29 adult species and 20 tadpole species, belonging to 17 genera and 5 families were found inhabiting in this forest area. The adults and tadpoles were divided according to their times of appearing into 4 groups, those found throughout the year, found only in early rainy season, found throughout the rainy season, and those found in winter. In the statistical analysis, the correlation between the total species number and relative humidity, the adult species number and rainfall, and the negative correlation between the flowing water tadpole species number and rainfall and relative humidity were significant at 0.05 level.
