[Development and study of the vaccine efficacy for immunization of animals against rabies (Strain 71 BelNIIEV - VGNKI)]

Rabies is dangerous disease for warm blood animals, including humane and creates the economical and social emergency for many countries. Belarus also has the same problems. General measures for rabies prophylaxis is rabies vaccination of animals. Belarus does not produce rabies vaccine. Therefore, the Belarus Institute of Experimental Veterinary-Medicine worked out a liquid inactivated rabies vaccine based on strain 71 BelNIIEV-VGNKI and a method of production. This rabies vaccine is a safety, steril and high immunogenic drug. This vaccine has been registrated at the Central Board of Veterinary Medicine Ministry of Agriculture and Food for factory production and use in Belarus. At immunization the indicated vaccine of rabbits and dogs twofoldly with an interval 21 day in a dose of 2,0 sm3 in 35 days from the beginning of immunization were found higher titers of virus-neutralizing antibodies (120,0±8,42 and 104,3±12,21), than at immunization by commercial vaccine developed by VNIIVVM (80,0±9,34 and 60,0±9,43). All immunized rabbits at virus infection of rabies were not ill. The way of production of the antirabic fluid culture sorbed inactivated vaccine includes cultivation of virus, its inactivation and designing of the vaccine. The storage at the temperature of 4°С ensures the validity of the vaccine within 18 months from the date of production
