Determinación de las fracciones acaricidas de Bacillus thuringiensis.

Se obtuvieron por centrifugación dos fracciones a partir de los cultivos de las cepas LBT-5 y LBT-13 de Bacillus thuringiensis que tenían como componentes principales: esporas con cristales y exotoxinas termoestables. Para comprobar un posible efecto sinérgico, se realizó una mezcla 1:1 de estas fracciones. A cada una de las variantes anteriores se les determinó la actividad hemolítica en placas de agar sangre y solamente se observaron halos de inhibición de 2.5-5mm de diámetro en la fracción formada por esporas y delta endotoxina. Las dos cepas afectaron indistintamente los adultos de Tetranychus tumidus. El porcentaje más alto de mortalidad a los cinco, fue causado por la combinación espora-cristal.

A mixture of these fractions in rate 1:1 was carried in order to check a likely synergistic effect. Hemolytic activity in plates with agar-blood was determined in treatment and only inhibition halos of 2.5-5mm of diameter were observed in the fraction formed by spores and delta endotoxin. Both strains indistinctly affected Tetranychus tumidus adults. The higher percentage of mortality at five was caused by the spore crystal combination.
