The reinforcement of existing structures is always challenging from an engineering point of view. Limited accessibility, loads that cannot be eliminated even temporarily, and sometimes impossibly low budgets aggravate the problem. With existing wood structures, the options available for reinforcement are often severely limited. However, the growing use of Fibre Reinforced Polymrs (FRPs) in repairing and reinforcing concrete elements has opened a new way for using a similar technique for wood structures
