Effecs of plant density (distance between row and plants in row) on safflower grain yield and oil percente
2004
Abdolrahmani, Bahman
In order to evaluation of safflower response to plant density in Maragheh cold region, this experiment was conducted as factorial desing based on RCBD in three years an Maragheh dryland agriculture research station with Arac-2811 variety. The factors of trial were: Two distance between row (30 and 50cm) and four distance between plants in row (5, 10, 15 and 20 cm). Combined analysis results showed that year effect was significant on capitols/plant, seed/capitol and TKW. Row distance effect significant only on capitols/plant. Plant distance in row was significant on plant height, height of primary secondary branch and capitols/plant. Only oil percent was affected by row ک plant distance interaction. The highest grin yield (2096kg/ha) and oil yield (595 kg/ha) belong to 30 cm row distance ک 10 cm distance between plants in row, and this plan density recommended for Maragheh and ather regions withsimilar climatic conditions.
