This research was conducted in Khorasan Agricultural Research Center in two phase. In the first phase the effects of warm solutions of a fungicide( Imazalil ) on decreasing the fungal decay of apple cultivar Golden Delicious was studied. The experimental design was 4 factors factorial adopted completely randomized design with 3 replicates. Factor A, was fungicide concentrations (0, 500, 1000 ppm), factor B was temperatures of solutions (25, 38, 45 centigrade degree), Factor C was soaking times (1-2 minutes) and Factor D was time of sampling of cold storage (0, 45, 90, 120, 150 and 180 days). In the second phase the effects of plant oils on decreasing the fungal decay of apples were studied. The experimental design was 4 factors factorial with in frame of compeletely randomized design 3 replicates. Factor A was apple cultivars (Golden delicious and Red delicious), factor B was type of plant oil (canola, corn, sunflower) ,factor C was oil concentrations (0, 0.25, 0.5, 1, 2, and 3 percent) and Factor D was time of sampling from cold storage (0, 45, 90, 120 , 150 and 180 days). In both phases after treatment the fruits transferred to cold storage( temperature 0-1 centigrade degree and relative humidity 85%) .The results of first phase revealed that warm solutions of fungicide (Imazalil ) with concentration 500 mg/lit for 2 minutes cause to maintain qualitative and sensory characteristics of apple cultivar Golden Delicious after 6 months keeping in cold storage .The results of second phase showed that corn oil (2%) caused to maintain the qualitative and sensory characteristics of apple cultivars Golden and Red Delicious after 6 months keeping in cold storage
