2002
Torabg, Alireza | Karbalaii, Mohammad Taghii
In many countries, International Network for Genetic Evaluations of Rice (INGER) which conducting by IRRI 1 are testing yearly. Introducing and exchange of cultivars and lines are the important way to increase genetic variation in these countries and Iran as well as. However, since starting these experiments, there are some cultivars and lines are directly introduced to farmers in southern and northern part of Iran. One hundred lines and varieties with 5 check varieties including the 3 international checks, IR50, IR75 and PSB-RC-2 and two local checks, Khazar and Sepidroud in Guilan province, Fajr and Tarommahalli in Mazandaran province were evaluated in Augmented in Randomized complete Block Design with 5 blocks in 2002. Traits like yield per plot, plant height, number of tillers per hill, heading, seedling vigor and phenotypic acceptability at maturity were studied. Results showed that 16 lines were better than other lines in Guilan Province. Also results showed that 20 lines were better than other lines in Mazandaran Province. Therefor, these lines were selected for advanced experiments in future years.
