In order to study and evaluate the compatibility of some apricot cultivars (Sharoodi , No . 35 and Nasiri ) grafted on st. Julian and seedling rootstocks ( Marianna and Mirobalan ) in soil lime an experiment was conducted in karaj. A factorial design during 1997-2003 on randomized complete block design with 3 replications were used. Three apricot cultivars and three rootstocks were considered as experimental factors. Vegetative vigour and mineral absorption in dices were recorded foreach grafting combination from 2001 – 2003. the data were analysed each year and combined analysis at the end of experiment. The results showed that there was a significant difference between years, for vegetative growth ( except canopy extension) and mineral absorptionbetween rootstocks inplant height, annual growth of shoot, canopy extension and N, Mn and Cu uptakebetween scions in annual growth of shoot, canopy extension , and Mn uptake. Scion / rootstock interaction was significant in plant hight and P, Mn and Zn upake. Height and annual growth of shoot in scions were maximum in No.35. Among the rootstocks showed Myrobalan the maximum annual growth of shoot and canopy extention The results also showed that from different points of view such as survival of cultivars, correlation confficient among vegetative charaetcristics and mineral absorption in leaves and viguros characteristics scion No.35 and Myrobalan rootstock were perior to the other and can be recommended as Suitable cultivar for soil lime area such soil of kamala bad in Karaj.
