Cercospora leaf spot disease of sugar beet by Cercospora beticola is one of the reductive agents of root yield and sugar content in the hot and moist conditions such as Khuzestan province in Iran. In order to evaluation of sugar beet germplasms for introduction of resistance sources to Cercospora and for comparison of genotypes in interaction with disease agent, observation trials were carried out in field conditions in the three area : Ghaemshahr, Dezful and Moghan, also in the greenhouse in karaj. For infection grading, KWS scale (1-9) was used. Assessment of germplasms in the field condition indicated that 20279, 19669, 21668-72, CERMO1, HM1836, Kahriz, F-20358, F-20366, F- 20096, Otype A3, 24422-76, 23898-75, 23899-75 and MONODORO genotypes are suitable resistance sources to Cercospora. Greenhouse experiment resulted that the lowest infection appeared in HM1836, also Kahriz-77, 19669-76 and 19669-P4- 59 are good sources for resistance to Cercospora. For evaluating of genotype resistance to Cercospora, Ghaemshahr condition is favorable. Thus, screening of genetic materials is not necessary in other areas. .
