In order to evaluation of 12 salt tolerant potato clones, this experiment was carried out in two distinct phases. For In-vitro study on salinity tolerance, In-vitro planlets of these clones treated by 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 m mos concentration of balanced salinity of Nacl and Na2So4 in MS media. Due some unexpected problems, these resualts didn’t use for final conculusion. Second stage of study coducted in 3 location, where 2 location had natural salinity of soil and irrigated water, third location had natural condition for potato growth. 12 salt tolerant clones with 3 cultivar (Picasso, Agria and Marfona) as checks planted in CRB design with 3 replication. During growth period and post harvest, datas related to tuber yield, ware potato yield, number of main stems per plant, days to flowering and days to tubering was collected. Results shows that in spite of primary hypothesis, any of these 12 clones are not salt tolerant in comparing traditional cultivars. Cultivar Picasso had highest and stable yield in all 3 location. One of the interesting resualts was shortening of growth period in location with salinity stress, but cvs. Picasso was not affected significantly from this aspect. Also it seems that using relativaly degenerated tubers of these 12 clones for this experiment, is a reason for further studies with healthy tubers that will drievd from tissue culture.
