Comparison and selection of different combinations of rice milling machines

In this study selection of the most proper of rice milling machines combination in marvdasht county of Fars province with nine treatments and five replication was investigated. In addition, two kinds of dehusker (rubber-roller and blade type dehusker) and the effect of moisture content on breakage of rice grains was also evaluated. The ranges of moisture content were 8 to 10, 10 to 12, and 12 to 14 percent and using a rubber roller dehusker, and abrasive type rice polisher and a blade type rice polisher as a complement. Results showed that blade type dehusker(using blade type rice polisher instead of dehusker) and rubber roller dehusker had 17.6 and 9.3% breakage of rice grains, respectively. The most proper of rough rice moisture content range for milling was 12 to 14% the series combination of three abrasive type rice polisher with blade type rice polisher as a complement (No.4 treatment) was the most proper for use in milling firms. Economic evaluation also showed that No. Four treatment had the least cost (73.6 rials per kilogram of rice) and was best economic treatment. ظ،ظ§
