Identification of fungal plant pathogens and their distribution in alfalfa fields of Zanjan province.

The plant pathogens particularly fungal diseases are the important factors of reduction of production in alfalfa fields. In order to study of identification of fungal pathogens on alfalfa and their distribution in diferent areas of Zanjan province, Zanjan, Mahneshan, Eajrood, Abhar, Khoramdareh, Khodabandeh were selected for 2 years. After sampling from alfalfa fields and isolating the pathogenic fungi from samples, isolated fungi were identified and introduced as a list during 2000-2001. Based on this survey, Uromyces striateus, Spronema phasidiodes, Pseudopeziza medicaginis, Alternaria sp., Fusarium solani, Peronospora trifoliorum, Oidiopsis sp., Rhizoctonia crocorum were important in alfalfa fields.
