To determine the best suitable planting dates for soybeans cultivars in mild cold regions of kermanshah a split plot design on based complete rondomized block design with 4 replications was carried out in Islamabad Research Station in 2002. Three planting dates,21 April, 6May, 21May and 5June were considered as main plots and cultivars,Williams, Clark and L17 , were considered as sobplots. Agronomic traits as days to emergence, 50% flowering, maturity, plant height, pods per plant, seed weight and grain yield were recorded. Combined analysis showed that planting dates had significant differences for days to 50% flowering and 90% maturity. results showed that grain yield differences in planting dates were not significant but grain yield reduced when planting dates were delayed .the highest grain yield obtained from 21April with 2881 kg/ha and the lowest grain yield obtained from 5June with 1997 kg/ha. Genotypes had no significant differences for all recorded traits. Grain yield differences in cultivars were not significant but the highest grain yield obtained from L17 with 2519 kg/ha. it seems that suitable planting date for soybeans cultivars(medium maturity) in mild cold regions of kermanshsh such as islamabad is early May.
