إنجليزي. In the present investigation, eight kinetic models were tested to describe B desorption in arid soils of India. The comparison of coefficient of determination (R**2) and standard error of estimate (SE) revealed that the order of application to describe B desorption kinetics in these soils was as follow: second approximation two constant rate equation Elovich rate equation parabolic diffusion rate equation. It was further observed that the two separate pseudo first-order reactions due to desorption from two independent B retention sites were involved, with higher rate of B release from site 1 and lower from site 2 in all the five soils
