In a prompt attempt to reduce occurrence of the "Yellow Dust" in northeastern Asian area including Korea, a molecular breeding of the plants endemic to the Gobi desert is necessary. The Gobi occupying an area over 2,500 Km from southwest to northeast and 1,500 Km from north to south is one of the largest desert in the world and covered with bare rocks. In addition to an extreme dryness especially during the winter, the Gobi showed great extremes with rapid changes of temperature, not only through the year (from 33.9℃ to -47℃, at Sivantse) but even within 24 hours (32℃, daily difference).
