Multimedia and computer technologies in e-learning

The combined use of multimedia, JAVA-technologies, elements of the active interface and other Internet/Intranet technologies in e-learning allows to increase effectiveness of e-learning, makes easier the process of understanding the e-learning materials by students, helps students to apply their theoretical knowledge in practice. Multimedia and computer technologies can be useful for e-learning of any subject: the humanities, economics, jurisprudence, technical sciences, including information technologies and computer science. Each subject has its specificity from the viewpoint of using computer technologies and software. The author gives an example of the use of computer technologies for the development of e-learning courses for the training of future programmers that is based on the experience of e-Education Centre of National Technical University of Ukraine Kiev Polytechnic Institute.
