Under the present circumstances in this article has been based necessity to increase professional competences of academic personal of Latvia University of Agriculture (LUA). In the article is given information about activities of Mathematic department in this area. In this article is given information about the project The improvement of professional skills (in processing technologies) of the academic personnel of LUA supported by Europe Social Fund and the pace of this project. The aims of the program are to have more significant knowledge in the methodology of scientific research and the realization of the theoretical aspects, the instruments of measurement and their possible mistakes and to instruct with the realistic data processing methods. The main gain of this project - we will determine our level in these competences.
