[Agrochemical investigation of soils in rural farms of Latvia in 2005]

In 2005 agrochemical investigation of soils was done in 494 farms of Latvia in 41 133.2 ha area. Average of 17 845 soil samples was taken. In 2005 for agrochemical investigation of soils the state subsidies of Ls 200 000 were allotted. Agrochemical investigation of soils was carried out by Agrochemical Research Centre. In samples of soils basic data of agrochemical properties was determined: organic matter content, soil pH, content of phosphorous and potassium used by plants, and exchangeable magnesium of soil.
