Three subgenera of the Philippine genus Ceratina namely: Pithitis, Ceratinidia and Lioceratina and four species under these genera were redescribed. A key to Philippine ceratinin subgenera is provided. New distribution records are included under each species. The subgenus Pithitis is most easily recognized because of its metallic green body color. The body color of subgenus Lioceratina is mostly yellow while that of Ceratinidia is black and yellow. Allometric variations in females of two species of Ceratinidia suggest possible cast system. Larger females are usually the principal egg layers and guard the nests while the smaller females usually do the foraging. Sex ratio, per capita brood production, number of female per nest should be further studied to assess the sociality of these bees.
