The miling value of some wheat cultivars from Breeding "Seeds of Kobierzyce"

To evaluate milling value five cultivars of spring wheat and three winter wheat were tested during 1998-00. The cultivars of the examined wheat showed significant differences in milling value. The grain of winter cultivars had better milling characteristic. The statistical analysis showed that the yield of reduction flour increased with vitreosity and hardness of grain. Kernel size and shape and grain homogenity positively influenced the total flour yield. The ash content of the flour was adversely affected by grain plumpness
