The effect of technology intensity on the efficiency of crop production was assessed in the study. To make revelant comparisons technologies of selected cash crops, recommended by IUNG and IHAR, were chosen. It was assumed that the effect of technology intensity should be assessed from the standpoint of the extent to which principal production factors i.e. land, labour and capital are used. It was found that the level of technology intensity set by capital inputs influences the structure of direct costs and profitability. The profitability of production was more influenced by price relationships of means of production, than by technology intensity
