Terrain information centre location within country administration structure

The paper shows results of analysis and researches over the problem of terrain information centre location (nowadays: surveying documentation centre) within country administration structure. Analyses contain: tasks of these centres, their functioning procedures, and kind of information being an object of interest centres. In researches over optimal locating and functioning these centres one referred to rules of locating and functioning other institutions being similar, yet taking into consideration specific features of centre itself and its tasks. In researches, except organizational side, one took into consideration also economical aspect of this enterprise, hitherto conditions and effects of surveying documentation centre activity. As a result of carried out analysis and investigation, authors of the paper express an opinion, that: the best location for surveying documentation centres is a district, their creating should take place on the base of hitherto surveying documentation centres, broadening their range of activity by operations connected with nowadays and future tasks in this respect
