The object of this study was to establish and compare performance of three broiler strains (Arbor Acres, Hybro G and Cobb 500) at simultaneous fattening, which are present at our production. The study lasted 6 weeks and included 3000 chicks, i.e. 1000 chicks per strain. Average body mass of day-old chicks of Arbor Acres and Hybro G was uniform (43.2 and 43.3 g), while Cobb 500 chicks had lower average body mass (36.89 g); at 42 days the biggest body mass reached Hybro G broilers (2,356.94 g), than Arbor Acres (2,258.29 g) and Cobb 500 (2,166.44 g). The lowest mortality (2.5%), the best feed conversion (1.78) and the highest performance index were found in Hybro G broilers. The best slaughter yields were found in Arbor Acres males (86.08%) and Hybro G females (86.23%).
