In this paper, data about development of the HCl acid secretion in piglets, in the course of the first 8 weeks of age, were presented. At the same time changes of pH values were also observed. Just before weaning, in the gastric liquor, mostly bounded HCl acid and lactic acid were both participated with 50%, while the pH value was 4.38. Seven days after the weaning pH reached the value of 4.87, but latter on, at 28 days of age, it dropped down to 2.78. It was also found that the amount of the free lactic acid concentration was decreasing and at the age of 8 weeks no lactic acid in gastric liquor, whatsever, was found.
