Since the very beginning of their use, until today, due to the herbicide positive properties, they have become irreplaceable in weed control. However, intensive herbicide use has led to reduction in crop rotation and abandonment of alternative methods of weed control. As the last consequence this has caused occurrence and spread of herbicide resistant populations of some weed species. Resistance has developed toward herbicides that have been used as the only method in weed control, which can cause large economic losses. Evolution of weed populations resistant to herbicides represents a problem with increasing tendency in many countries all over the world. For the successful control of resistant biotypes of some weedy plants, in regard to the usually applied quantieties, depending upon resistant level, greater and even multiple quantities of herbicides are necessary to be applied. This has caused not only increase in production costs, but also increase of environmental contamination with the consequences to equilibrium and needs for discovery of new herbicides with the specific and different action mechanism.
