The investigation was carried out on the extremely acid soil during three years. Four small grains species (wheat, barley, oat and triticale) were included into the trial. The next fertilization variants were applied: control (without fertilization), NPK fertilizer, N fertilizer + lime (N+CaCO3), NPK+CaCO3 and NPK+CaCO3+manure. Acccording to obtained results, liming has very positive influence on small grains productive traits (the number and mass of kernels per head). Averagely, the number of kernels was increased for 30.0% i.e. 31.0% in wheat, 25.0% in barley, 23.9% in oat and 41.4% in triticale while the mass of kernels per head was increased for 49.5% in wheat, 30.6% in barley, 30.7% in oat and 57.4% in triticale. The highest number and mass of kernels per head in all investigated small grains species were noticed in NPK+CaCO3+manure variant. The least increasing was registered in N+CaCO3 variant. The non significant differences were observed between NPK and NPK+CaCO3 variant among species and cultivars, too.
